| Sea Cliff Contemporary
San Francisco, California
This cliffside garden reflects two aspects of the property. Protected
from wind, the client requested a traditional flower garden for the front
entry which compliments the Edwardian facade of the house. Facing the
ocean, the rear garden palette transitions to drought and wind tolerant
plantings. The strong architectural plant forms of Agave attenuata and
South African Rustios accent the viewing terraces that surround the infinity
edge pool and sunbathing decks. Light fixtures designed by SCDA were carved
from solid blocks of onyx in the shape of giant conch shells and lit fiber-optically
from within.
