Do you prefer cooking by yourself than depending on those take aways? Do you feel you spend all the time in the kitchen and hardly have time to enjoy the dish you cooked so painstakingly?
Here are some tips and tricks to help you save time in the kitchen:
You don’t have to prepare everything from scratch on the day you are going to make the dish. You can always prepare some of them before hand, freeze it or refrigerate it and use it when you are cooking. This will save you a lot of time and reduces stress while cooing. As a result there will be lesser number of errors and mess to clean up.
Don’t Peel It All
Peeling all the vegetables and fruits is not an easy job. It takes a lot of your time and you have peels scattered all over the counter top. You need not peel all the time. Eat the peels, they are healthy and nutritious. Vegetables like potatoes, sweet potatoes and carrots taste better when you toast the skin.
Get a good set of knives to make all the cutting and chopping easier. Similarly get the right utensils to cook in. they need to be easy to handle and clean, for that will save you a lot of time. My husband got me a great ceramic rice cooker and not only has the rice been tasting better, but the cleaning is easier too. I spend lesser time scrubbing off the grease as it does not stick much to the ceramic surface.
